Terms of service

1. What this service is

Keep Oneshows you two things and asks which one you would keep if the other disappeared forever. Your answers, and other people's, produce a public ranking. It is entertainment. It is not a survey, a poll of any defined population, or research, and nothing here should be read as a measurement of anything.

2. No account

You do not need to register. We set a cookie so your own choices can be counted and shown back to you. Clearing it starts you over, and there is no way for us to recover a history attached to a cookie you have deleted.

3. The catalog

The things you are shown are chosen by us. We do not accept public submissions. We exclude anything where “one of these disappears forever” would be degrading: groups of people, religions, ethnicities, orientations, illnesses, and real tragedies are not comparison material.

Brand and product names appear as ordinary references to the things they name. No affiliation or endorsement is implied by either side.

4. Manipulation

Do not attempt to move the ranking: no automated voting, no scripted requests against the vote endpoint, no coordinated brigading. We may discard votes we believe to be inauthentic. Each person counts once towards the global result on any given pair; answering the same pair again changes your profile and not the ranking.

5. Nothing is for sale

Nobody can pay to change a rating, a rank, or a published percentage, and we will not sell that if asked. If sponsored comparisons ever appear here they will be labelled as such and kept out of the organic ranking entirely.

6. What we do not promise

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it stays available, that any result is preserved, or that the rating method stays the same. We may change the algorithm, the matchmaking, or the catalog at any time.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to this free service is limited to nothing, which is also what it costs.
